For the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie, we produced an image film that highlights the diversity and impact of social entrepreneurial initiatives.
At its core are four exemplary projects, demonstrating how entrepreneurial thinking addresses social challenges—from energy and integration to sustainable value chains.
Polarstern Energy – A New Approach to Business
As a social business, Polarstern provides 100% renewable energy while investing in the global expansion of sustainable energy access. It combines economic activity with social and environmental impact.
buntkicktgut – Integration through Football
The intercultural street football league from Munich brings together young people from over 100 nations. Through sport, it creates opportunities for connection, participation and new perspectives.
nearBees – Supporting Local Economies
nearBees connects beekeepers with consumers, creating direct sales channels for local honey. This strengthens regional ecosystems, supports biodiversity and makes sustainable consumption accessible in everyday life.
More Than Shelters – Designing for Dignity
Daniel Kerber’s project creates modular living solutions for refugees in both crisis regions and urban settings. It goes beyond providing shelter, aiming to support participation and self‑determination.
The Film’s Approach
The film brings together these different perspectives into a broader view of social entrepreneurship—as a field where entrepreneurial action and social responsibility intersect.
Rather than explaining, the film lets the projects speak for themselves—through people, places and real-world applications.
